![]() I own a copy of 3dcoat, i enjoy it it's feature rich. I have worked a lot in Maya/Max/Cararra/Wings3d, and have a little experience with a few others like blender, etc. You get a $100 discount on the full version if you own core, I know core is $150. i feel like i am ready to move up to the full version, which will eliminate the short comings of core. you would need to load the model into another application and paint/export it from there. So if you plan to use and obj or fbx file in a game, with a texture map. The thing you will run into with core, is that you can not export a texture map. You can easily create the sort of stuff in the video you posted. you kinda start over again in learning a new interface and flow. If you take the time to learn blender then decide to move to Zbrush. And by the time you master it, you can move up to the full version with very little issues, as the interface is basically the same, with just more menus and brushes available to you. but the good thing about core is that you can get a good handle on the basic work flow in Zbrush, it takes a while to get used to it. I will move to the full product at some point. I have been working with it for a few months, and I love it. The cost of the full product was too pricey for me. Take this with a grain of salt though, because I haven’t actually used Core yet, but these are the things that have me considering it. Also of note, there is a $200 bundle deal with Zbrush Core and a Wacom tablet, if that is something you’re in the market for. I’m considering buying Core for myself now that I no longer have access to Zbrush. I could imagine picking up Core might even be easier since there is less going on with the interface. ![]() ![]() It’s also a very different user experience than any other 3D application that I’ve used and can be awkward to learn. I had access to the full Zbrush application through a previous job and it’s such an amazing tool. Additionally, if you do decide to upgrade, it would be an easier transition into the full version, as opposed to learning from scratch. There is an upgrade program and from what I saw, $100 of your original purchase can be applied to the full version. ![]() ![]() Just a few things to consider in support of Core. ![]()
